Custom Decarbonization Analysis

What was once a shuttered Macy’s in West Los Angeles is now an outstanding case study of adaptive reuse. BEYOND completed a full building Life Cycle Assessment, which drove a massive reduction in embodied carbon. Additionally, open spaces reduce air conditioning needs, a sunken courtyard provides natural light in the project’s basements, thermally modified wood in common areas regulates temperature, and a stormwater management system recycles water for low-waste efficiency.
